Could MediaStream be an Apple TV feature?

9to5 Mac has uncovered some interesting tidbits in the latest iOS beta. One, of particular interest, is a feature called MediaStream. 9to5 speculates that this could be related to a new social networking feature that Apple might be prepping for the iPhone and iPad, but we can’t help but wonder if this might be something destined for Apple TV too. This is purely speculation, but could it be something akin to Boxee’s “Friends” feature that lets you watch content shared by your social networks? Or maybe something like the Nook’s “lending” feature that would let you share movies or music with friends? Either way, 9to5 thinks we may have to wait until iOS5 to really find out what hidden feature is really for.
