Daily Show and Colbert back on Hulu, Plus adds over 2000 new episodes

Yesterday Hulu announced that it had reached an agreement to bring Viacom content back to Hulu and Hulu Plus. The deal brings the Daily Show and the Colbert Report to the free Hulu  and the paid Hulu Plus services. New episodes will be available the day after they air and will remain available for 30 days. These two shows are available immediately.

In addition, Viacom will be adding over 2000 episode of content from Comedy Central, MTV, BET, VH1, Spike TV, and TV Land to Hulu Plus. Shows include The Chappelle Show, Reno 911, Beavis & Butthead, Real World, Punk’d, Baldwin Hills and more. Hulu Plus is currently available on Roku devices, Sony’s Playstation 3 and selected Samsung, Sony and Vizio TVs and Blu-ray players. You can also watch Hulu Plus on iOS devices including the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad (sorry, no Apple TV).

Jason Kilar, CEO of Hulu, brought some Jersey Shore to the press release by adding “We are thankful that Viacom was DTS [down to snuggle], our first order of business in the partnership is GTL [gym, tanning, laundry] with Philippe and his team.” No, we’re not kidding.
